General Dynamics do Brasil was established in September 2012 to deliver capability to the Brazilian defence and security sectors through strategic partnerships with Brazilian companies; facilitate knowledge transfer to Brazil; and work to develop indigenised solutions for its Brazilian customers. It also intends to establish an EDGE® facility in Brazil to support relationships with Brazilian SMEs and academic establishments. The UK EDGE® has been a successful mechanism to facilitate the entry of new technologies and capabilities into major British programmes that would normally not have been included due to the restricted ability of small companies and universities to invest in marketing new innovations.
General Dynamics do Brasil is also one of a very small number of companies that understands how to use integration capability to address the security challenges and requirements of Governments, their security forces, and private enterprises that wish to protect their valuable assets, whether populations, frontiers, national infrastructure or facilities from attack or intrusion, and delivers robust systems with resilience which ensures business continuity.
General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 92,200 people worldwide. The company is a market leader in business aviation; land and expeditionary combat systems, armaments and munitions; shipbuilding and marine systems; and information systems and technologies.
