- Develop system requirements, interface specifications, and end-to-end information flows.
- Manage the traceability of higher-level requirements to lower-level requirements and to test artifacts.
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop Operational and System Views according to DNDAF and UAF.
- Support testing activities including verification and validation of requirements, writing test cases, and producing Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
- Present status updates and conduct reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assume responsibility for deliverables and work products, and ensure you are meeting program commitments and achieving program milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or applicable scientific discipline is required.
- 5+ years of applicable system engineering or related experience.
- Experience working with complex systems, specifically at a System-of-Systems level.
- Extensive experience deriving, writing, and linking requirements in a database.
- Experience utilizing MBSE techniques and tools to model complex systems.
- Demonstrated initiative and strong verbal and written communications skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Passion for mentorship and sharing knowledge.
- Demonstrated capability of meeting commitments and delivering high quality work products.
- Knowledge of the trends in the needs of the military and of the operational context of deployed soldiers.
Assets:
- Experience developing cloud-based networks and infrastructure.
- Experience with the automation of server builds and deployment.
- Experience with system security for networks, endpoints, and application/data levels.
- Experience designing virtualization and containerization systems.
- Service (Reserve or Regular) in any branch of the Canadian Armed Forces.
- Experience with Agile ceremonies and work execution techniques (Scrum, PI Planning, Story Points, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering standards and best practices (such as INCOSE).
- Experience working with a government customer in a direct or indirect capacity.
